strange.. I posted reply... probably forgot to click submit :P

Anyway.. I ment to say that I'll create the themes here and then I'll give it back to you. I've already done 60% of the "to do" stuff and will post it before I go away on roadtrip the wednesday.

I'm doing basic editing of some of the gfx stuff so that you can see what needs to be done(not that much though)... then you can just do a proper job. ;)

Will post tonight maybe.

Cheers

Here is the what-done-so-far build:

http://cpro.skinconsortium.com/files/Insomnis_001.7z

Here is Cpro 1.04... I'm using Winamp5.53 atm so will work ;)... just the browser that's broken at the bottom...
http://cpro.skinconsortium.com/files/Cla…_1.04_beta2.exe

More info:
- If the colorthemes.png file isnt included in a skin you cant open the colorthemes option in the drawer.
- Dont worry about the vis, timer, songticker, ... colors yet. This is just to get the main stuff sorted so long.
- Shade also have a shade_overlay.png (just the first 23pixels high will be used so dont need to include all the shade buttons stuff in the overlay ;)
- Can create a color screen there too.
- You can probably remove the numfont.png file (will then use arial unless you change it... but will be able to change the color in the next milestone..but more about this smaller stuff later.

The main purpose for this build is just to sort out the buttons, screen & sliders.

Of coarse if you have a better idea for the sliders for example feel free to do it... this is just to show what I had in mind.. and most of the edits dont look that professional (like the shuffle :P)

Not bad at all. :thumbup:
I really like the green color theme.

I will try to modify some of the graphics (beat, colorthemes, etc) and have them send by end of tomorrow.

Can we have two different overlay images for seek volume and buttons? That would be really cool, since skinners will not be limited using only one color combination in their work. Just an idea.

Yes I was thinking of adding a colorgroup for the sliders (one group for them all) because you cant really use the mainframe_overlay on them.

So in the mean time just ignore the sliders.

I'll be back on sunday so wont be able to anything until then.

You can maybe also add the shade_overlay.png just like I did the one for the mainframe (with blue bg where the small buttons is)

Dont want to add to many gammagroups for the cpro bitmaps because then it will get to confusing and take to long. The sliders is the only thing that is needed. There will also be one for songinfo_playpause. Planning to make the songinfo bitmap a little bigger in height to add the kbps&khz image in there so that change with the gammagroup.

As always everything is backwards compatible...

btw, martin.. hope nullsoft dont enable that green no image found anytime soon :P.. because it will show a few stuff in cpro :D

Ofcoarse the skinner can go mad with all the gammagroups he/she ads to the colors.xml because thats totally in their hands. Will make a list of the gammagroups thats already in the bitmaps of cpro so that they can start with that and add what they need in the colors.xml.

For some reason I can not reinstall the skin after changing some of the images. I even tried to make a new archive without doing any modifications, but skin won't load. ?(

I was able to change only two graphics, please get the update below.

Think the latest beta should be able to do everything we need here ;)

Okay zrco.. now for the to do list ;)

I've added things to the bundled cPro__Bento skin so have a look at these pictures:
- songinfo.png (make the kbps/khz semi transparent like the current mb/kb/gb)
- buttons.png (if you want you can use the added winamp bolt pictures :D)

Here is the colortheme that we'll clone to create all the other themes. This should be enough.

<gammaset id="Default">
<gammagroup id="n.Background.Bottom" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Background.Overlay" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Vis" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Seeker.BG" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Seeker.Thumb" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Volume.BG" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="n.Volume.Thumb" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Background.Bottom" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Background.Overlay" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Vis" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Seeker.BG" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Seeker.Thumb" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Volume.BG" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
<gammagroup id="s.Volume.Thumb" value="0,0,0" gray="0" boost="0" />
</gammaset>

You still need to do...
- the semi transparent button (i did a crappy job)
- the seeker/volume have the gammagroups like you asked
- might have to change the vis colors so that they change better with the gammagroup
- the shade mode must still get the split between overlay/bg...
- shade buttons must also get that semi transparent stuff

The text in the lcd can stay white with all themes...

Do you know how to work with the COlor editor?

for texts pieter, theyr all using text object?
a simple rgb could be used for those to change all of the text colours on the fly, easier said than done most likely lol

The text colors is all the in the colors.xml

The colors.xml file is in the skin file so the skinner can define the gammagroups...

Will work a little on this skin this weekend ;)

download cPro-Insomnis02

I have updated the following graphics:
  • mainframe_overlay.png
  • seekvol.png
  • buttons.png
  • beat_right.png
  • beat_left.png
  • colorthemes.png
  • songinfo.png
There is a problem with the following graphics:
  • seekvol.png

    Seeker: There should be a way to have semi transparent buttons or seeker background. In this skin I have created semi transparent buttons, but for some reason transparency doesn’t work.
    Volume: The green stripe should be visible only on hover. See attached image below.

  • buttons.png
    Would it be possible to add new gammagroup for painting the buttons? Default skin should have main buttons painted in green.
It would be great if you can explain grey and boost attributes of the gamma group element.
BTW. I still can't load the skin after renaming .zip to .wal.
zrco has attached the following image:
  • seekvolume.png

Dont know whats up with the skin that dont load...

Here is what I'll do:
- Make sure you have Winamp 5.54 installed (released this week)
- Goto this directory: "%appdata%/winamp"
-- Now delete studio.xnf (close winamp first and wait 15sec)
- Also make sure you just using normal zip compression (not something better like 7z or rar format)... btw.. Winzip also have a newer zip format that you should stay away from.. just normal classic zip compression for winamp atm ;)

Okay... think you dont know about the coloreditor for Winamp skins?
Download here (one of the mirrors):
http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/clie…ditor_2_1_2.exe
http://shup.com/Shup/32270/wa5_coloreditor_2_1_2.exe
http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/winamp/wa5_coloreditor_2_1_2.exe

You'll now see a new component in the winamp menu called Color Editor. Use that to clone themes and create new ones using the sliders.
The grey param will just grayscale the image before the gamma is changed... and the boost is also pretty straight forward using the Color Editor.
Btw.. Color Editor:
- Select auto apply for the Color Editor :)
- The Save themes dont work anymore.. so you'll have to click on export and save the xml somewhere and manually add the themes in the skin file.. pretty straight forward.

I'll work a the skin tonight and report back. I'll sort the seeker & volume out (I didnt explain what I had in mind so you didnt know what will work there)... Because colorthemes in cpro will have to cater for a more than one skin and colorthemes are already quite difficult to master in a single skin, the colorthemes in cpro will only be ably to work with a 2 color skin... here it will be gray & blue with only the blue changing. But anyway... after my next message things should start to fall in place (I hope :P)

Nice work with the gfx update :thumbsup:

http://cpro.skinconsortium.com/files/cPro-Insomnis03.7z

Ok this is almost done now

What you need to do ;)
- Shade_overlay.png (i did a just a simple one to test the colorthemes)
- Shade.png(the buttons must be semi transparent like the ones in the main mode.

The Shade_overlay.png screen must be the same colors as the main mode one because then the colorthemes will look right. :D

Thats it ;)

Already did a few themes so you can add yours or rename mine or what ever :P (just remember to download the coloreditor)

Most of the themes have the same color changes on the stuff that change colors... sometime the vis didnt look that good so I changed it seperately. When you use the coloreditor you can click on copy group and then paste the group on all the gammagroups you want to change in the same way... so it very quick to create new ones :D

The skin looks much better now. :thumbup:

I will need a couple of days for doing the necessary modifications.
Color Editor is installed, hopefully I will be able to come up with a cool color theme or two.

Thanks for the tip on studio.xnf, I can load the skin again.

I've managed to modify few of your themes and to create a new one. Working with Color Editor ain't easy.

Feel free to add new color theme(s).

Great work!

v1.03 is out! I'll add a few themes now and then I'll upload it here on our servers. You can then upload it @ winamp too and all the other places you do ;)
