[Finished Skin] Graviton

Hey. I'm Dan. I used to make graphics for skins, but not any more. I'm here to ask if you folks would like to finish off any of my skins, preferably starting with Graviton, as it is the most complete of any of my concepts. Both QuadHelix and UUL have worked on the coding, with me on the graphics end.

You can see a preview and download the archived wsz file I have here:
http://www.sonicfour.com/graphics/skins/graviton.html

Graviton is currently 90% done (I'm guessing), possibly more so. I wasn't able to find any relevant records regarding what still needed to be done, so you may want to just run through and make a quick list of problems before tackling it.

Copyrights are as follows. I've released it under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 License (see this link for details.)

To be honest, at this point in my life I'm not terribly worried about what happens to my old skins and skin graphics, as long as people are not claiming them as their own or making any money from them that should rightfully be mine.

I'll be tracking this thread, so if anyone has questions about anything, please place them here, and I'll reply as best I can.

I'd imagine it shouldnt take too much to get it out there

The project was sidelined when it became increasingly difficult to beta the skin changes and updates for myself. I use apple computers at work and at home, and dont have consistent access to a windows pc.

So in the end, no. The skin was never released. And in my opinion, was never completed either.

I also seem to remember a problem with loading the custom visualizations, but i'm not sure if that was the install I was working on, but unfortunately i've never seen the visualizations I created in action. :? If they work on your machine, they work. I'll take your word for it.

ok went thru most of the maki code today, narrowed it down to 3 files, have tweaked 2 of them
next one is the vis file, looking at the code in this its not been optimised yet, its possible to select a vis from the menu but the vis does not work but does then eat cpu to approx 35%
once ive sorted this script we should hope to save a substantial amount of cpu

other than that, the :-
-updater - needs to be implemented
-notifier - needs to be implemented
-few xml additions -i.e. pl time in pl, songticker additions, active state on cbuttons
-SC about/credits
-attribs - more added
-layout position remembered - needs to be implemented
-the 2 points mentioned above - can make the button selection less confusing (remove pl, eq, cfg as those are already fixed on the other buttons) and sort out non dta mode
-anything else expected to be in final version
-i think we should also add programmable button functionality on right click on the bottom four buttons too, give it a little more functionality than meets the eye so to speak

I can sort all the above out, ready for any final additions

will carry on with the other things once ive sorted the other 2 skins in progress scripts but at least the vis is working as intended
