Surprise - Skin Consortium v4

Hi,
due to some issues with our hosting provider, we were forced to shut down Skin Consortium for a while.
We've taken this time to perform an upgrade of our forum software in order to reduce CPU load on our server.

You should also see a new style. This style is just temporary and will change during the next months. But we thought it is better to have our site running as soon as possible, instead of developing a kick-ass new style :D

The good old sidebar we introduced with version 2 of the site is now also gone and will not come back. Instead there will be an extended footer area soon!

I hope you like the new stuff of Woltlab Burning Board 3.1!

New features:
  • User Guestbook & Gallery
  • Tags for posts
  • Setting threads as done (in support forums)

Best,
Martin :)

And maybe integrate the wiki section (so that the site looks the same).

Really looks cool so far though ;)

The only thing that matters to me, is the SC forum, and burning board :)

Anoying it costs money :S

Good to see your back, the site also seems to load faster btw a Wiki section sounds like a great idea especially since the Winamp really doesn't seem that detailed! Keep up the good work guys!

we're using burning board since 4 years now (we started w/ phpBB initially, but phpbb sucks!) Then we switched to wbb2 and to wbb3 w/ SCv3.
wbb3 also offers a great framework to develop plugins and pages (released under LGPL). But the burning board software is deffo worth the few bucks it costs compared to vB. There is also a lite version for the low cost fans :D

Cozmoz, we already have a wiki, but it is not integrated very well :(

Jikaru, It's back; you'll need to wait sometime for the browser to clean the cache though.

site is updated to WBB3.1.2 - this will allow Opera 10.5 users to use the reply editor again! The full editor will come back in a future release of WBB, most likely WBB3.2.0

Some modifications i've done:
* disabled the user guestbook, since it doesn't have a good moderation for us admins, so we do not see if spamming takes place... i might add a plugin for this later and enable the guestbook again!
* added a tag list to the bottom :D

Hey guys,

I've updated a few things regarding the site:
  • Clicking the magnifying glass in the upper searchbox will produce an usable menu, where you can select the unread posts till last visit and so on...
  • WYSIWYG Editor has been updated to support Opera 10.6

Expect some more stuff till late August!
